We are very excited to announce that Derbyshire Youth Sailing are working with Foundation Derbyshire to assist sailors to begin their sailing adventure away from their home club.
First events at a different club can be a daunting prospect, not just for the sailor but also the adults taking on the task of moving boats around our county. To help with this we can now offer a limited amount of bursaries that will cover:
- Free entry for your 1st event away from home,
- Reduced entry fees for sailors who are year 5 or below, for a max of 5 events,
- £15 off your first DYS training event,
- Plus, as always DYS will cover your boat hire cost for your first away event.
Finding out if you qualify is really easy, our webmaster has been busy updating the website, not only with the bursary details but a handy check facility during registration. Bursary applications need to be made at the same time as you register for your event, and are subject to approval by the DYS committee. If your application is not approved we will contact you with further details.
