Derbyshire Youth Sailing

Welcome to DYS event at Carsington Sailing Club.

Please register for this event using the DYS website.

1. Barrier and gates will be unlocked from 9:00am – on site parking is normally available at the sailing club and instructions shall be given on entry as to where to park. Note that the Sailing Club has its own entry turn off the main road not to be confused with the separate Carsington Water Visitor Centre entrance and car park next door. Additional parking to the Sailing Club is also available at the adjacent Visitor Centre, noting that a camera monitored payment system operates there.

2. Registration will be in the clubhouse canteen. Please bring CASH for payment of registration fees.

3. Changing rooms and toilets will be open.

4. There’s a galley in the clubhouse selling hot and cold drinks and a range of sandwiches and snacks, etc. (Card payments only). Please order and pay for lunch in the morning to help the galley prepare.

5. A briefing for competitors will be held outside the club house at 10.30am.

6. Racing will commence at 11am. We plan to run one race before lunch and two races back to back in the afternoon session, starting at 1:45pm, which will be confirmed at the briefing.

7. Note that there will be trolley tags issued on registration to identify your boat to help with coming off the water efficiently.
