Derbyshire Youth Sailing

Welcome to DYS event at Ogston Sailing Club.

• Please be sure to register for the event in advance so that all those supporting the event can plan accordingly.
• Aim to arrive at the club no earlier than 9am, as the gates will be closed and there is no room to park on the road outside. When you arrive, please drive straight down the driveway and unload your boat in the area in front of the boat shed. Please remove your car and trailer as soon as possible to the main car park.
• Signing in for the event will at the clubhouse
• A briefing will be held at 10.30am in the area at the top of the main slipway. Racing will commence no earlier than 11am. We plan to run one race before lunch and two races back-to-back in the afternoon session, although this could be altered on the day.
• Breakfast will be available to purchase in the morning on arrival. At lunch time there will be a choice of both hot and cold food, but this needs to be ordered in the morning.
• Campers are very welcome to arrive on Friday evening, we can accept tents, campervans, and caravans. There is no charge, sailors can go on the water on Friday evening, and the bar will be open for any adults who need refreshments. Food may also be available, but this won’t be confirmed until nearer the time. If planning to camp you must let us know in advance by emailing vicecommodore@ogstonsc.co.uk
• The event will be cashless as far as possible, we would prefer all entries fees, food etc, are paid for by card. We will accept cash, but there will only be a limited amount of change available.
