Derbyshire Youth Sailing

Welcome to DYS event at Rudyard Lake Sailing Club

Please register for this event using the DYS website. 
1. Barrier and gates will be unlocked from 9:00am – on site parking is available at the sailing club and instructions shall be given on entry as to where to park and where to store your trailer. Please be aware that there are two watersport facilities using Rudyard Lake, the entry point to our Sailing Club is from Reacliffe Rd.

2. Registration will be available from 9:30am in the clubhouse. Please bring CASH
for payment of registration fees.

3. Lunch can be ordered at registration time from the Mini Beans Coffee shop and they will make sure it is then available at the appropriate time. They are providing a special menu for DYS of beef pasta bake or macaroni cheese with salad and free squash for £4.50. Tea and coffee will be available all day from the members area. Fill a mug with a teabag or coffee and take it to the Mini Beans counter, they will charge £1 for the hot water and milk. There are other options available from the coffee shop menu to order from the galley. Whatever you choose it can be ordered at registration to coincide with lunchtime. A seating area will be reserved within the clubhouse for those wishing to bring their own provisions too.

Also, we are hosting a post racing BBQ and hope as many as possible will be able to stay and play! Burgers will be £2, hot dogs £1.50 any contributions towards salads or desserts will be most welcome. To help with catering volumes, please ping an email to membership@rudyardlakesc.org.uk if you know you can make it, thank you.

4. Changing rooms with warm showers and toilets are available.

5. A briefing for competitors will be held outside the clubhouse, near the starters hut,
at 10.30am.

6. Racing will commence at 11am. We plan to run one race before lunch and two races back-to-back in the afternoon session, which will be confirmed at the briefing.
