Derbyshire Youth Sailing

Welcome to DYS event at Rudyard Lake Sailing Club

Please register for this event using the DYS website.

1. Barrier and gates will be unlocked from 9:00am – on site parking is available at the sailing club and instructions shall be given on entry as to where to park and where to store your trailer. Please be aware that there are two watersport facilities using Rudyard Lake, the entry point to our Sailing Club is from Reacliffe Rd.

2. Registration will be available from 9:30am in the clubhouse. There is a pre pay facility on our web site, Rudyard Lake Sailing. where you can pay for event, sibling and boat or card and cash on the day for payment of registration fees. Please not that registration must still be completed on the DYS website.

3. Lunch must be pre ordered on line for Mini Beans Coffee (so we know numbers) and they will make sure it is then available at the appropriate time. They are providing a special menu for DYS of beef pasta or macaroni cheese and free squash for £6. Tea and coffee will be available all day from the members area. Fill a mug with a teabag or coffee and take it to the Mini Beans counter, they will charge £1 for the hot water and milk. There are other options available from the coffee shop menu to order from the galley. A seating area will be reserved within the clubhouse for those wishing to bring their own provisions too. Alternatively you can email Daniella using the link above to place an order for lunch.

Also, we are hosting a post racing BBQ and hope as many as possible will be able to stay and play! Bring along your food to cook on the BBQ and we do a throw it in salad and sweet selection, contributions welcome. To help with catering volumes, please ping an email to vicecommodore@rudyardlakesc.org.uk if you know you can make it, thank you.

4. Changing rooms with warm showers and toilets are available.

5. A briefing for competitors will be held outside the clubhouse, near the starters hut, at 10.30am.

6. Racing will commence at 11am. We plan to run one race before lunch and two races back-to-back in the afternoon session, which will be confirmed at the briefing.
