Derbyshire Youth Sailing

Following on from our great results this year and with the exciting news that Burton SC will be hosting the NSSA Single Handed Team Racing event next October, we are planning as much training as we can next year in order to get as many people as possible involved.

We are therefore looking at holding a training day on Sunday 9th January at Burton SC. Loughborough University have kindly agreed to lend us their fireflies so that we can train for the NSSA double Handed event at Draycote Water on 26th/27th March and Burton have Toppers we can use for Single Handed practice. If we get enough interest, we are hoping to run a multi discipline training day, with sailors rotating around different groups.

This is a great opportunity to try something new, improve your racing skills and maybe get involved in team selection. It is aimed at all levels from beginners to the more experienced and you do not have to be interested in an event or team selection to come along.

The day will cost £15 per sailor and will run from 9.30am – 4pm.
