Toddbrook DYS 2026

Welcome to the first event of this year’s DYS series, we hope youe are looking forward to taking part.

The gates will be open from about 8.30am. When you arrive at Combs please bring your boats up into the boat park at the top of the drive and then return your car to the car park. If you are new to Combs, don’t worry, there will be somebody stationed in the car park to help direct you.

Some things we would like you to know/do prior to arriving are set out below:

1. Please register for the event in advance if you can so that we can plan for the appropriate numbers prior to the day. 2. The changing rooms will be open so changing and kit can be left there.
3. The toilets at Combs are situated in the boat park.
4. When launching you will be able to use any of the three slipways. The water is likely to be fairly high which means there may be little in the way of a ‘beach’ so trollies might need to be stored in the boat park. Again, there will be people around to help but please get on the water early to avoid delays. The race officer will coordinate with the beachmaster to ensure everyone is safely on the water before the start so there is no need for anybody to rush.
5. A briefing for competitors will take place in the boat park at approximately 10.30.
6. Signing in for the event can be done on arrival in the clubhouse.
7. Racing will commence at 11am. We plan to run one race before lunch and two races back-to-back in the afternoon session.
8. Although we are hoping for good weather for this event, remember it has snowed on a number of recent DYS events so do bring warm clothes just in case.

There will be a Galley which will serve soup, pasta and cake at lunch-time and teas and coffees and other drinks available during the day.
